"Critical thinking blog post #4"- The Promise and Peril of Robots in Film, TV and Real Life: Friends or Foes?
When robots such as Electro came out in the 1960’s people did not really fear them. But as time passed by, and technology advanced in new inventions robots became a bit more sophisticated. In the movie I, robot, Sonny (the main robot) is created with human qualities, like emotions. He is able to fear, and to have sympathy towards other robots and humans.  Besides, Sonny is helpful to humans and even has grace when he moves. Instead Electro did not foes because his movements were too coarse, he is slow and clumsy.
It is clear that in modern times people do have certain fear toward robots. I mean robots and other machines have had already taken jobs away from humans. It is also true that media tries to befriends robots to humans, so that way humans do not act in any harmful way against technology.
Technology forms part of humans everyday life, now people are dependend of their cellphones, to their computers, and even transportation. Since humans are so attrached these technologies, they prefer not to see how dependeable they are to robotics and science.
